About NordGen Plants

NordGen Plants is the sector of Nordic Genetic Resource Center for cultivated plants. We work with conservation and sustainable use of crops and their wild relatives. This include the actual conservation of seeds and the distribution of seeds and accompanying information, and also dissemination of more general information about the value and significance of plant genetic resources for our society in the Nordic region and globally.

NordGen Plants stimulates utilisation of the material, and seeks to create synergy via the Nordic cooperation with benefits on Nordic and international level. Guidelines for the Nordic cooperation is described in the NordGen strategy and recorded in the Kalmar declaration .
